\n\nA few memorable things happened in 1989.”The Simpsons” television series premiered; “Batman” ruled the box office with more than $250 million in ticket sales; and (this is our favorite), Oil Can Henry’s introduced its convenient, thorough service to Oregon’s Willamette Valley.\n\nLocal owner/operator Chris Taylor opened his first Oil Can Henry’s center in Keizer, Ore., 25 years ago — on July 2, 1989.\n\nAt the time, Oil Can Henry’s was a small company with a few locations offering a unique stay-in-your-car service. And vehicles were decidedly less complicated.\n\nOil Can Henry’s has steadily grown over the years, earning a loyal following of drivers who enjoy relaxing in the comfort of their own vehicle and watching as trained technicians perform the oil changes and other vehicle maintenance services they request and appreciate receiving expert recommendations based on their vehicle manufacturer’s service schedules.\n\nToday, Chris operates five successful centers, Oil Can Henry’s services about 1,000,000 vehicles a year at 88 centers in six Western states, and Salem-area drivers get to choose from six convenient locations:\n

- Keizer 4225 River Road N.
- Salem 4957 Commercial Street S.E.
- Salem 260 Lancaster Drive N.E.
- Salem 1470 Edgewater Street N.W.
- Silverton 901 N. 2nd Street
- Stayton 1750 Shaff Road
