April Anniversaries: 16 Years in Oregon’s “Land of Umpqua”

There’s no shortage of natural beauty in Roseburg. The Southern Oregon community is nestled in the “Land of Umpqua“, so residents and visitors get to enjoy internationally-acclaimed fly-fishing; spectacular scenery; a thriving wine community; picturesque covered bridges; and, outdoor activities such as river rafting, hiking and cycling.\n\nRoseburg residents also get to enjoy convenient, thorough vehicle maintenance at their local Oil Can Henry’s, which opened on April 25, 1997. It was the first Oil Can Henry’s service center in Southern Oregon, but response from local drivers was so enthusiastic that two more centers soon opened in Grants Pass and Klamath Falls.\n\nCongratulations to owners Jeff and Donna Christian and their incredible, hard-working team of trained technicians on 16 successful years!\n\nAnd, congratulations to the eight other Oil Can Henry’s centers also celebrating April anniversaries:\n

March Anniversaries: 23 Years in The World’s Salad Bowl

Salinas, Calif., is a busy community, buzzing with the type of activity you’d expect from a region that supplies 80% of our nation’s lettuce and artichokes.\n\nKnown as “The Salad Bowl of The World”, the Salinas Valley is home to a massive $2 billion agriculture industry that grows and processes lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms, strawberries and other crops for America’s dinner tables.\n\nSalinas is also home to the Steinbeck Festival, which honors the community’s most famous son, renowned author John Steinbeck. Born in 1902, Steinbeck won the Pulitzer Prize (1940) for “The Grapes of Wrath”, which has sold more than 14 million copies, and the Nobel Prize in Literature (1962). He also wrote the acclaimed “Of Mice and Men”, “East of Eden” and “Cannery Row”.\n\nOil Can Henry’s-Salinas has proudly served Salinas Valley residents for 23 years, having opened on March 17, 1990. The center, which is locally-owned by brothers Chris and Scott Allen, earned such a loyal and enthusiastic following that the brothers have since opened service centers in nearby Soquel, Watsonville and San Francisco.\n\nCongratulations to Chris, Scott and the hard-working team of trained technicians in Salinas for cultivating nearly a quarter century of success in Salinas. And, kudos to these five Oil Can Henry’s centers, which are also celebrating March anniversaries:\n
